Victory Kitchen Easter Basket Giveaway
Victory Kitchen was founded in Oct. of 1991 by Rev. Lonnie R.(Rick) Walters. Inspired by God to reach out to the unfortunate in the area, Rev. Walters began serving free hot meals to anyone in need. By December of 1991, only two months later, Victory Kitchen has served well over 170,000 hot meals!

We have grown from cooking in crock-pots and on hot plates to owning and operating commercial-grade cooking appliances including a stove, an oven and even a pizza oven! To store the tons and tons of food we are blessed to have received as donations from caring people and businesses in the community, we have both a walk-in freezer and walk-in cooler. All of this has enabled us to go from serving only 2 days a week in the beginning to now serving 5 days a weeks, 3 weeks of the month! We serve from 12p-3p Mon-Fri and are closed the second week of each month.!

“Working hand in hand together helping our Community!”
Sandusky Municipal Courts, The Department of Job and Family Services, Juvenile Courts and Erie County Courts have partnered with Victory Kitchen by allowing qualified individuals to serve out their community service requirements by volunteering at the Kitchen. This is truly the hand of God at work, because not only is there an infinite amount of work to complete in order to maintain a service such as the Kitchen, but it also gives us the opportunity to witness the divine Love and Word of God to those who may be at their lowest and need a touch from God. We are ever thankful to these agencies as well as other community, school and church groups for the support and favor we have received. Victory Kitchen has won numerous awards since we began: J.C. Penney’s Golden Rule Award, The Sandusky Register Award, The Lavender Award and the Erie County Chamber of Commerce Award in 2001.

More than 10 years have gone by and we are still here, growing faster and stronger than ever! Our desire and commission from God to help our fellow man remains steadfast and unwavering. The fact remains though; we could not do all this without our Lord Jesus and His hand working through the people of our community. When it comes to sharing and giving from the heart, our community shines far above the rest! We love and appreciate everyone who has followed God’s direction in supporting and helping us to fulfill this vision. It is the desire of Victory Kitchen to be an asset to our community.

The Lord has truly blessed Victory Kitchen!

If you would like to volunteer at the Kitchen, or simply come and have a look at what the Lord is doing, we welcome you! We also welcome church or school groups and senior citizens. Victory Kitchen enjoys the participation of anyone in the community who feels lead to do so. Stop by and see how YOU can make a difference in someone’s life!
